Derbyshire Surveyors is the trading name of Wilkins Vardy's survey and professional valuation department. Our survey team is led by experienced RICS qualified chartered building surveyors Dan Elliott and Julian Wilks, both based in the Chesterfield office, but operating throughout the Derbyshire, South Yorkshire, and Nottinghamshire areas. A range of professional survey and valuation services are available.
Types of Surveys Available
RICS Red Book Valuation
Independent RICS market value of a property used for dispute resolution, probate or private sales.
Homebuyers Report (Level 2)
A detailed survey of the property giving information on urgent and significant defects together with remedies. A valuation can be included in this report if required.

Building Survey (Level 3)
Commonly referred to as a structural survey, this report is particularly suited to large, old or unusual properties.

Specific Defect Report
A report designed to establish the cause of a specific defect, or comment on a specific part of a property.

Insurance Re-instatement Valuation
Assessment of the re-build cost of a property for insurance purposes.
Residential EPC
A legal requirement for most sales or rentals of residential properties

Commercial EPC
An energy assessment of most commercial premises such as shops, office and warehouses.
